National Day celebration

Today is the National Day celebration which all school should be having. Today is when everyone dresses in red and celebrate our nation's 45th birthday. Singapore may be young as compared to China but she indeed has gone through problems and disasters to become Singapore today.I am very proud to be a Singaporean as it is one of the most green country and safe country. I will definitely do my best to make Singapore a better country. Mine school celebrated with a concert and many people also face-painted their face. We celebrated as a school and there were also China students who came for cultural exchange. I believed that we must have impressed with our enthusiasm in celebrating our nation's birthday. I hope I would be able to celebrate Singapore's birthday every year even if I am overseas. Happy 45th Birthday Singapore:)

Poem on someone annoying...

Wimp, annoying and childish
Who loves to cry
Who is like an ostrich
Who loves to rant

He invades my space and ruins my day
He is whom everyone hates
He is a buzzing bee in our lives
He is like a thousand parrots chattering

Though he is thirteen, he seems like a toddler
Laughing at everything just to gain attention
Right now I wish that he would be gone
For peace in class forever!

Racial Harmony Day

Hi all! On Wednesday it was my first Racial Harmony Day in Hwa Chong but it was also my worst experience. I had to perform in front of the whole school! Me and a group of friends was kind of SABOTAGED by someone....We had to perform an Indian dance on the song "Munneru Valiba". We were rehearsed by Mr Tan B.B and we were supposed to collaborate with a school(I can't remember) but they had something on(I think it was YOG). Other consortiums had other schools to perform with them and furthermore we are sec 1s. Isn't that more difficult for our performance to be perfect? The dance was also quite "lame". We had to perform 4 TIMES for each level respectively! There was also a cultural bazzare but I had no chance to visit it. After the performance, my friends told me that our dance was very stupid and was "retarded". Even our form teacher said that our performance was quite boring as it had not much movements. Well this was the most embarrassing day of my love. I had never been on stage to perform before and this was quite an experience for a first time performance.

NBA FIT Clinic

A few days ago a few NBA players came to Singapore to train 80 average teenagers. They are Al Horford, Corey Brewer, Francisco Garcia and Taj Gibson. They were as one with the teenagers very quickly. The teenagers are split up into different groups to do different excersises. This event is organised by YMCA with the Metropolitian YMCA. Even though the NBA players are very tall and stong, they do not look down on people or "show off". The teenagers even exchanged contact information with the NBA players and asked for their signature. The teenagers felt that the NBA players are very kind and help them whenever they have difficulties. The NBA payers felt that this was a memorable experience.

Lebron James to Miami Heat

This news is quite long ago though. He is leaving Cleveland Cavaliers to join Miami Heat alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh which gives the Heat one of the most dynamic power trios in league history.Miami Heat might be the champion in the next season replacing Lakers. Actually Wade, Bosh and James turned professional in the same year but James went to Cavaliers, Wade to Heat and Bosh too Raptors. They also worked very well in the 2008 Bejing Olympic Games. James said that he wanted more challenge and joined Heat with Wade and Bosh. In my point of view, without James, Cavaliers stand very low chance to be the champion.
